May 24th & 25th,
2003 - Despite
the cloudy weather, some of thrillworks’ finest competed
in the Transitions for Youth Mini-Grand Prix. The 2-day event
was held at Playdium in Mississauga. First time drivers,
Jay Bousada and Andrew Bremer brought kart # 30 into the
championship race. However, multiple collisions caused the
team to finish ‘just short of the medals’, shall
we say. Luckily, the kart was in the hands of skilled pit-crew
members Frank Sauve, Pablo Vio, and Breckon Husband and Darryl
deHaan. Although the team didn’t fair so well on the
track, they brought home first place for uniform design.
Big plans are in the works for next years race, look out!
