Michael Saxton: Developer

Michael Saxtron

You want this man on your team, but do you want him in your hockey pool?

Mike’s problem-solving brain and inhuman ability to spot bugs—combined with his Computer Science degree and experience in everything from Web and software development to system administration—makes him someone you want on your team. His love of hockey pools and movies makes him someone you want in your office. Away from work, humour and sports are key passions of Mike’s. On the sports side he’s a runner of marathons and webmaster of a playoff hockey pool website, while on the humour side, he harbours a borders-on-creepy devotion to the television program Saturday Night Live (never misses an episode).

Saxtron (Mike's official nickname) has a tendency to understate things, so when he says he's probably the funniest person ever, its really saying something. And while he may be in good shape and have a good sense of humour, his skills as a developer are a bit beyond just good—they are seemingly innate. Maybe this has something to do with the fact that Mike created his first computer program in grade school—and that problem-solving brain just never looked back.
